Educate...Every Child, Every Day
Putnam Elementary School of Science opened in 1956 and is named after a long-term PSD custodian, A. H. Putnam, who gave 40 years of faithful service to the youth of Fort Collins. The school colors are royal blue and white and the mascot is a panther. Putnam’s curriculum incorporates a school-wide science focus in all subjects. Students use the scientific method and inquiry to develop critical thinking skills that prepare them for a lifetime of productivity and learning. Putnam’s motto is P.R.I.D.E. - Positive Attitude, Respect, Integrity, Determination, Empathy, and serves grades Pre-K-5. Putnam was remodeled in 1999.
