I was born and raised in Minnesota. I attended Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota where I received a degree in Psychology and my Elementary Teaching License.
I moved out to Colorado after I graduated to experience something new and different in the lovely sunshine of Colorado. I taught 1st and 2nd grade in Aurora Public Schools from 2015 - 2018. Last year was my first-year teaching 1st grade at Putnam Elementary and I am thrilled to be teaching 1st grade again this year!
I love and admire the unique experiences each student brings to my classroom which has led me decision to continue my education and in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I spend my spare time outside running, hiking, backpacking, swimming and snowboarding. I enjoy trying knew things such as traveling and eating exotic food. Of course I love spending time with my dog, Springsteen.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in a small town (Afton) in Minnesota about 35 minutes from St. Paul Minnesota.
Why do you love being a teacher at Putnam?
I am excited to have a diverse student population and the learning experiences that brings to our classroom culture.
Anything special about your classroom?
I enjoy learning from my students and incorporating their needs into our classroom to create a positive, safe, collaborative community.
